| COLLABORATION PROGRAMS | Dilijan has friendly relations with Petange of Luxemburg due to sponsorship of which the renewal works of the secondary school N1 have been accomplished in 2006.
The delegation of the English town Wycombe has arrived here, and it has made an arrangement with City Hall on two towns’ cooperation in different fields.
Owing to Corsican town Monticello representatives’ visit the friendly relations have been confirmed in further collaboration.
International organizations are realizing a number of programs in Dilijan including the United Nations Organization development program which has the purpose of assistance to municipal improvements.

| COLLABORATION WITH PETANGE OF LUXEMBURG |  Within the bounds of Dilijan and Petange twin cities’ friendly collaboration in May-June, 2006 the major repairs have been accomplished in the oldest building of the secondary school N 1.
The thorough repairs of that building have been last realized in the 70-s of the last century. The daylight in corridors was slackened because of the dark baffles mounted. Moreover the wooden revetment in school created excess acoustics and spread noise. The time-worn windows didn’t isolate the central street noise. Lots of problems have appeared in connection with electric wiring, it has been worn out and the basket case has reached its critical point. The gymnasium floor has been tumbled down. Separate classrooms have been changed into storehouses  because of uncomfortable conditions.
Thanks to Petange assistance 136 square meters of time-worn windows in the old building have been substituted for metal-plastic ones, about 700 square meters of walls and ceilings have been plastered. 100 square meters of floor has been laid with parquet and lacquered.
The internal network of power supply has been entirely substituted, the doors have been painted and new inventory was purchased. Owing to the repair works two rooms serving as storehouses have been changed into a comfortable classroom and a training study as well.
Due to the works accomplished the first building of the school has been changed beyond recognition becoming handy and flatter for teaching and educational.
